
💻 Computer Reservations
The Riverhead Free Library is happy to provide Library patrons with computer access on our Riverhead Free Library building grounds! Patrons may reserve a computer by scheduling an available appointment at https://riverheadlibrary.skedda.com/booking?spaceviewid=42375.
The Riverhead Free Library offers free access to the Internet as well as a variety of desktop publishing programs & other software applications.The Library offers many digital how-to classes & technology training for beginners that can be found on our website.
A keepsake is required to use a computer at the Riverhead Free Library. Please arrive at your appointed time at the designated computer usage area. Patrons using Riverhead Free Library Computers must conform to all of the Riverhead Free Library’s policies and are expected to adhere to The Riverhead Free Library's guidelines for computer use while using our devices.
Computer appointments are 60 minutes.
Computer Reservation Hours
- Monday-Friday: 9:30am - 6pm
- Saturdays: 9:30am - 4pm
Guidelines for Reserving a Computer
- Please try to finish tasks in one session per day, appointments come on a first come, first served, basis.
- Riverhead Free Library Staff will check you into your Computer reservation appointment and take a Library keepsake in exchange. This keepsake will be returned to you after your appointment at the designated Riverhead Free Library Staff area.
- Headphones are required for listening to any resource with an audio component. Users may purchase headphones from The Riverhead Free Library or use their own.
- Limited assistance may also be provided with word processing and other desktop applications.
- Users may not leave a computer unattended. If a user does not return within 10 minutes, without notifying The Riverhead Free Library staff, the computer may be made available to another user.
- Warnings will be given prior to the end of your computer session. Failure to comply with these warnings will result in the loss of your work.
- A USB-ready memory device is required to save your work.
- At the end of each session, patrons must leave the computer promptly so it can be made available to the next user.
- The Riverhead Library is not responsible for time or data lost due to computer failure.
Acceptable Keepsakes include:
- State Driver’s License
- State Driver’s Permit
- State Identification Card
- Any kind of Photo Identification
- Car Keys
Young adults (16 and under) can provide the following:
- School photo ID
- Report card
- Working papers
Printing
- Printing is limited to 5 free black & white pages & 1 color
