The treacherous shores of Long Island have resulted in numerous shipwrecks and maritime tragedies. In this program, Eco-Photo Explorers will examine some of Long Island's most important and compelling shipwrecks. The stories of these harrowing events are part of the fabric of Long Island's history. Tales of Revolutionary War era warships, slave ships, smugglers and shipwrecks that changed modern maritime practices will be discussed.
