The Central Pine Barrens Commission staff will provide a presentation on the Central Pine Barren Prescribed Fire Program, which is an interagency initiative to reduce the risk of wildfire, improving public safety and advancing ecological restoration. The presentation will highlight the fire ecology of the Central Pine Barrens; locations of planned 2023 prescribed fire operations including the Dwarf Pine Barrens; how to obtain more information on prescribed fire operations and the proactive measures the public can implement to help protect your home or business from wildfire.
