Be transported to the 1800s through live music, dance and gripping narrative as Jo-Ann Wilson, author of The Diary of An Ex-Slave and NYSCA 2025 grant recipient in literature shares excerpts from her historical fiction novel.
The book reading will be an oratorio that will include professional musicians and dancers as well as singers and actors to help move the dialogue.
Jo-Ann Wilson hopes that her novel will entertain, educate, and inspire readers to look at themselves and others with compassion.
